2 Weeks

I can't believe it's already been 2 weeks since this perfect little boy was born. I feel like I've known him forever! He's starting to be awake more during the day and does pretty good at night, usually sleeping 3-4hrs before waking to eat and going right back to sleep- in the crib!! Rowan hated the crib and anywhere else we would put him down, he pretty much only slept in our arms or next to me. Eli wakes between 5-7am and gets to lay with me so we can both go back to sleep- then we sleep until 9 or 10am!! Poor Mike has to get up to take Rowan to daycare by 8am. I have also discovered that Blind Date is on at 4am so that is something to look forward to if only I could get him on a schedule so that I can always watch it each night.
Slight sleepy smile- we are pretty sure he does actually smile at us- and we do NOT think it's just gas.

I love baby gowns, not only are they great for middle of the night diaper changes, but they just look so cute in them!

My three boys- notice how Rowan is trying really hard to be asleep!

Xander used to rebel against the baby gowns because he hated having anything over his feet. As soon as I'd roll the gown up to his knees he'd kick until it was at the top of his thighs and then he's sleep.

Finally I just put him in a t-shirt. To this day he HATES having his feet covered when he's sleeping. It's a funny quirk.

The boys look uber cute!

Adorable!

I loved the gowns, too! So much easier than trying to undo snaps in the middle of the night.

I went to the Walmart in Savoy today and checked - they do have the nursing bras that I was talking about...if you need me to pick some up for you, I'm happy to do it!

And I'm still amazed that you have a toddler and a newborn and you're still blogging on a regular basis.

Impressive!

You are making this sound way too easy. I guess that why people end up having like 12 kids. I am sure it has something to do with you guys being more relaxed the second time around.

looseyfur- thats funny about not having his feet covered! Rowan was that way about his hands when he was little, would wake up everytime we'd cover them, now he mostly sleeps with the blanket over his head so everything is covered! strange kids :)

quigs- thanks for checking, I'll probably have to try one on since I'm sure I've grown a bit (hopefully)! I'll def. look there.

libbygirl/quigs- don't be too impressed, Rowan is back at daycare and Mike isn't working or anything this summer so he's here too, and remember newborns sleep a lot. I am also still trying to milk this whole just had a baby thing, so i am definetly slacking on my household duties. so when Eli naps i waste time on th laptop. I'm sure when school starts and rowan is home with me most days and eli sleeps less it will get a lot harder!! And definetly not 12 kids for me!! I'm good with my two :)
