Fire

One of our favorite things about where we live is being able to have bonfires! To give you an idea of the size of the fire- we usually burn pallets- whole. The other night after Eli went to bed we headed out to enjoy the fire, Eli must have known we were having fun cause he woke up right away so he got to come out too, although was pretty sleepy- probably a good thing since he didn't want to walk and check out the fire.

The sky looked goreous that night, this is the garden lit up by the fire- on the right

Rachel, just beautiful pictures! This reminds me of all the good times David and i had when our kids were growing up-they loved the bonfires too. There is something quite magical about watching the fire, knowing that thru the centuries, people have sat and done the exact same thing at one time or another(from the cavemen, Indians, on up to the present...). AND, it's great to connect that way to our link to the earth, the gardens, the air/water. So peaceful. Loved Eli's contented and sleepy look in the pic!-Grandma Joan
