BabyWearing
This week is International Babywearing Week. There really is a week for everything isn't there. Anyway, Steph at Adventures in Babywearing is giving away a new sling from Nonny & Boo to everyone that posts here so I thought I'd enter. The fact that I never win anything always makes me want to keep trying.
I had this black pocket Hot Sling when Rowan was a baby but really didn't use it much, this pic is with Eli in it when he was just a few weeks old. I like to use this sling for quick trips when it's not worth the time to put the Mei Tei on.

Anyone else have a carrier they love? I would love to try new ones, but they are quite expensive.

This is my Mei Tei from Mei Tai Baby, and I absolutely LOVE it. I don't know how I could live with out it seriously! Sometimes I use the stroller but most of the time i feel a lot better having Eli attatched to me so I have more control over Rowan. It also works great at home when Eli is fussing, if I am trying to cook I just put him on my back and he is instantly happy. Even better most of the time he is instantly asleep, a definite lifesaver when you have a baby who doesn't nap more that 20 minutes at a time.
Of course I'm not the only one in this house that wears my baby, remember Rowan and his bear. Ok so he wore it once, but whatever, it was quickly and crappily made.

Thumbsucker
Eli has developed a new habit. He can even put himself back to sleep with it, well he did once! I'm sure I won't like it as much in a few years, but for now is there anything cuter than a baby sucking his thumb?

The Final Days of Fall
I'm pretty sure the gorgeous weather we've had lately is coming to an end. I hate the cold and I know even though I'll promise to still do stuff with the kids we will most likely spend our cold days stuck at home. But for now we've been really loving these last few days. Since the weather has been in the 70's (in November!!) we've spent a lot of time outside, even an ALL day park outing with HQ and kids. I love everything about fall- the colors, the leaves, the food... I've been trying to take more pictures especially in the late afternoon when the light on the leaves looks so great, so enjoy some pictures of our last few days of fall. Sorry if they are really little, I tried.
Can you find the kids?
Does it get better than jumping into leave piles?

Happy -Day After- Halloween!!
I'm having trouble uploading pics so this is all you get. Rowan was Batman once again this year and Eli was a dog or cow, not sure and some people would say dog others cow so we're saying dog/cow. It's the same costume Rowan wore as a baby and I had thought it was a cow (or dog, don't remember) and then someone said what a cute dog (or cow, but you get it by now right?). So now who knows, you decide, either way he's cute :)
We went to a kid party thrown by someone Mike goes to school with it was ok. Then we headed to my mom's and hit the streets for some candy. Later we went to my mom's church where they had a party with lots of games and cookie decorating... It was actually alot of fun (I guess I was expecting them to talk about the evilness of Halloween) and Rowan got to play with his cousins. Today we let Rowan pick out one piece of candy for the next week (I know I'm so mean) and he traded the rest of it. Mike was given some Thomas trains and tracks by someone from school so we finally gave them to him in exchange for most of his candy. Now he doesn't feel like we just took it all from him, he gets new toys and we get candy w/o having Rowan go insane from all the sugar.
